Founders Note
Fuzzelove was founded by two close friends who both share a deep love and passion for animals. Richard and Sumarie recognized the need for a protected environment in which people of all ages and from all walks of life could unite, share stories and celebrate the joy that animals bring to their lives, and so Fuzzelove was born. At Fuzzelove we strive to make a difference in the lives and wellbeing of animals by providing an opportunity for pet owners to extend their friendship and lend their support to other pet lovers and enthusiasts around the world.
About Richard
Hi everybody, I firstly would really like to thank you for supporting Fuzzelove and for helping this dream become a reality. I consider Fuzzelove to be a close, trusting community so I feel it's only right that you know a bit more about me. I'm Richard – the one half of "Richard and Sumarie" – and I call Cape Town, South Africa home. I come from a close family and have an older brother and sister. My family live in Durban (…I had to escape ). In my life I've had two beautiful dogs, Suzie and Lulu - both Toy Poms who ruled the house! I've had my finger in many different pies over the past few years. I've been a lecturer and marketer, specializing in the field of advertising. I've loved working in each of these fields but nothing comes as close to my heart as Fuzzelove.
About Sumarie
Hello, and a sincere "thank you" for supporting Fuzzelove. At Fuzzelove we like to think of ourselves as family so it’s only right that I give you an insider view. I'm Sumarie - the other half of "Richard and Sumarie" - and I call Pretoria, South Africa, home. I am the youngest daughter of wonderful parents who live in Pretoria, and my super older sister lives in Paris, France. Pets have always been an integral part of my family - I recall with nostalgia, love and pride my first dog, Heidi, and my first cat, Dada (there are many that have followed!). I have a background in informatics, financial services and consulting, all of which have contributed to the realization of this vision and dream called Fuzzelove.
